I have always felt welcome and kept informed by teachers. There is a great PTSA, despite low amount of parent involvement. A small group does much of the work.”

“My son just completed 6th grade at SDMS. This school has an extremely poor reputation in the community, but I feel that it is not deserved. My son is a 'high achiever' and he had upper level classes that were challenging, but fun. I was very pleased with the teachers too. Ms. Cole is really trying to turn things around and has started a BETA club and a Math club will begin next year. Overall, I was pleased with the academics at SDMS. As in most schools, you get out what you are willing to put in.”
